About Me

I am originally from a small farming community in western Minnesota.  I graduated from the University of Minnesota - Crookston, where I earned a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Plant Industried Management/Horticulture with an emphasis in Landscape Design. 

 

After moving to Duluth in the fall of 2004, in less than a day I fell in love with this city.  I knew I had found home!  I have a genuine appreciation for Duluth, and all the wonderful things this region has to offer.

 

I have over 11 years of experience in the service industry. 

Prior to becoming a realtor, I worked for a privately owned investment company as the branch office administrator, and a well known financial institution.  This previous experience has given me a multitude of valuable skills that has enhanced my professional career, and outlook, in the real estate industry.  A home can be one of the largest, and most important, investments you will make.  In addition to this, there are many people and processes behind the scenes involved with the home transaction.  Having an experienced professional by your side is essential.

 

My passion for real estate arose when I purchased and renovated my 1st home, which enabled me to utilize my skills & education (landscape design) to enhance a home's interior & exterior curb appeal.  A few homes later, I have a wealth of knowledge on cost vs. value on various home improvements.

 

I am a motivated real estate professional who is driven to building lifelong relationships with my clients, and willing to help them through the many essential steps towards home ownership.  

 

On a personal note, I am married to my husband Jon, whom I met here in Duluth.  I am from a large and wonderful family. I grew up on a farm, where I learned first hand the importance of a positive attitude & a hard work ethic!

 

When I am not busy being your Realtor...a handful of my hobbies include: photography, trail running, hiking, mountain biking, cross country skiing, camping, canoeing, and snow shoeing. (Any guesses why I love Duluth?)

What I Do

I represent my clients in the purchase and sale of Duluth real estate properties.  I specialize in single-family residence and income properties in Duluth, and within a 25 mile radius of the surrounding communities of the NE Minnesota Area.  

 

With ever growing concerns for the environment and a continual increase in home heating costs, the need for improved energy efficiency has become a significant concern in the Northland.  I have an added a level of service to my clients by my certified eco education and training.   Being an EcoBroker allows me to help find a home for my clients that not only meets their current needs, but has additional savings as home costs grow.
